How do I create a dial-up connection in Windows XP?

This article demonstrates how to create a new dial-up connection in Windows XP.

Process

1.     Click Start.
2.     Click Control Panel.
3.     Double click on Network and Internet Connections.
4.     Click on Network Connections.
5.     Click on Create a new connection.

The New Connection wizard will open.

6.     Click Next.
7.     Select Connect to the Internet.
8.     Click Next.
9.     Select Set up my connection manually.

10.    Click Next.
11.    Select Connect using a dial-up modem

12.    Click Next.

13.    In the ISP Name, enter ProExe Dialup

14.    Click Next.
15.    Enter 0845 059 0014 as the telephone number

16.    Click Next.
17.    In the Username box, enter in your username, ie xxxx@proexe

18.    Enter your ProExe Account password in the password and confirm password fields.

19.    Click Next.
20.    Click Finish.
